As a graduate from the University of Winnipeg Theatre Program I am biased.  I found the program to be thourogh and professional.  There are many opportunities to specialize and gain practical experience.

The administration is approachable and the professors are  people who have worked in the industry with years of experience.  When they teach the students an idea, concept or prceedure it is authentic and useable.

The U of W program are for students who are looking to get "real life" experience.  The first year programs are a great introduction to theatre.  Students who may just have  a passing interest  may find the courses intense.

In short, I owe my performance, directoral, and administration philosophy to what I learned at the University of Winnipeg.   What I learned from the instructors and practical experiences has been valuable.   I have been able to exend what I learned to other leadership opportunities in my life.

I take the OP theatre students to the University of Winnipeg to tour the program and meet some of the staff.
